With the rise in childhood obesity and screen time, it is now more vital than ever that children are active, not just for their physical health but also their mental and emotional wellbeing. Minifit has crafted programs for schools to get the best out of students
in both the field and inside classrooms.

STRUCTURED PROGRAM

DESIGNED FOR STUDENTS

MiniFit is a structured school program designed to decrease obesity through physical activity, nutrition and wellbeing.

MiniFit was founded to encourage health and fitness, and improve the growth and development, of children - drawing on 5 core pillars.

EXERCISE

Building strong muscles and bones through gross motor skills, movement and interactive games.

NUTRITION

Optimising diet, using whole, fresh and nutritious foods to fuel their bodies and boost immunity.

HYDRATION

Keeping the body’s water levels at optimum to boost concentration, learning and development.

SLEEP

Boosting brain development, body repair and regeneration through rest and active recovery.

SCREEN TIME

Minimising time spent on digital devices, promoting creativity and positive circadian rhythm.

HEAD FITNESS TRAINER

ANTHONY MINICHIELLO

Anthony ‘Mini' Minichiello is the most-capped player for the Sydney Roosters and is the leading try scorer in their history. In an NRL career that spanned over 15 seasons, Mini played in six grand finals and won two Premierships. The first premiership was in 2002 and then again in 2013, where he captained the Roosters to the Minor Premiership before he led the team to Premiership glory. Mini played for Australia on 19 occasions, made 11 appearances for the NSW Blues and represented NSW City four times, and captained Italy in the 2013 World Cup.

 

In 2006 persistent back, neck and ankle injuries looked like they would halt his career. But a determination to succeed led to the rebuilding of his body and lifestyle, where he discovered the power of nutrition and how it can heal and repair the body.

 

Since his retirement, Mini has continued to promote the importance of health and fitness. Being the founder of MINIFIT he delivers live and on demand content in fitness, nutrition & lifestyle. Mini also runs school holiday clinics and schools term programs aligned to the NSW PDHPE syllabus to drive real change around growing up healthy and strong.

GENERAL MANAGER

RICK LEONE

Rick Leone has over 30 years’ teaching experience, specialising in PE and Individual Needs, Including working across the NSW curriculum, the UK National curriculum, and the International Baccalaureate.

 

Sport has been a major passion of his. As well as playing soccer, he has coached many junior and adult teams and has participated in the primary schools sports association at zone, association and state level in a variety of capacities.

FOCUSED

10-WEEK PROGRAM

The 10-week program is designed to focus on each of the pillars for a fortnight, incorporating learning and sporting activities in an interactive environment.

In addition to the tailored MiniFit program structure, the lessons have been designed to meet syllabus outcomes.

SYLLABUS ALIGNED

Created to work alongside and in synergy with the various state PDHPE syllabi for schools

LESSON PLANNER

Guides teachers with an in-depth breakdown of lessons, including activities, execution and tips. 

ASSESSMENT TOOLS

An array of evaluation tools to quantify your class’s strengths and build on their weakness. 

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

Surveys and progress markers to chart the individual progress of students through the course.
